USERS WILL EXPERIENCE INTERRUPTIONS DURING THIS TIME -- * * * * ALERT ! ! ! * * * * -- * * * * ATTENTION ! ! ! * * * * 2020 LINCOLN LIFE DEDUCTIONS: We are aware of the mistake with the 2020 Lincoln Life Deductions. We are currently working with the vendor to get this resolved. W4 UPDATES: The IRS released a new W-4 form to be used in 2020. All new employees will need to complete this form. In addition, any existing employees who want to make a change to their federal tax withholding will be required to use the new 2020 form. The IRS is NOT requiring existing employees, who are happy with their current federal tax withholdings, to complete a new 2020 W-4 form. The new form does include instructions as well as worksheets and tables to assist employees in making tax decisions. The Auditor's office can not provide any assistance in completing the form. Employees must refer to their tax professional for any guidance. MUNIS has not finished the programming to allow employee's to make W-4 changes in ESS. For now, you will need to contact your department's payroll representative to make any changes. Unfortunately, we do not have a timeline for when changes will be available in ESS, again. DUE TO INCREASED PHISHING ATTEMPTS: All Direct Deposit bank account changes will be "prenoted" by the county. This process will generate a paper check for your next pay check and will be required to be picked up from your department payroll representative. See your department payroll representative for details. Password resets requests received via email will NOT BE HONORED. Butler County Auditor's Office has created a user guide that is available for all employees. Please contact your department's payroll representative for the most recent copy of this guide. Your username your 4 or 5 digit number that has been assigned to you as your Employee ID. Please contact your department's payroll representative if you do not know what this number is. What is my password? Please contact your department's payroll representative for your initial password. If you have forgotten your password, use the "Forgot your password" link.
